Troop 51
Boy
Scout Troop 51 of Orange, California is sponsored by, and meets at
St.
John's Lutheran Church (go to our map page). We meet every
Monday at 7:00 PM and our meetings
last until 8:30PM. On the last Monday of each month, Patrols meet separately
in Patrol Meetings. If you are planning on visiting, please contact
us before-hand.
The Scouting Movement
The
purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and
chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and
young adults to

train in the responsibilities of
participating in citizenship

develop personal fitness
In the United States there are about 4.2 million Tiger, Cub, Boy and
Explorer Scouts, and 1.2 million adults involved in scout organizations.
There are currently more than 25 million Scouts, youth and adults, boys and
girls, in 216 countries and territories around the world.
Joining Scouting
Boy
Scouting is available to all boys, ages 11-17 or who have completed fifth grade,
who are interested in learning the aspects of good citizenship, wildlife
preservation, and outdoor skills, while developing good character and spending
time enjoying nature responsibly. For additional information, go to the website
