The purpose of this page is to give you information on all the different meetings which are going-on at the troop. There are parent meetings, leadership meetings, patrol meetings, and many more. You can go directly to the scout meetings by clicking here, or to the adult meetings by clicking here.

Scout Meetings

General Meetings

We meet every Tuesday except for the (usually) second Tuesday at 7:00 PM and our meetings last until 8:30PM. These meetings are planed and run by the scouts and each meeting provides time for instruction based on the month's topic.

Patrol Meetings

Patrol meetings are held once a month. There is no set day for the meetings to be held, it is up to the members of the patrol to set both a date and a location. At patrol meetings, a patrol will work of something scout related. Be it a project for presentation to the troop, a merit badge, the patrol flag, or just go on a hike. This time is to allow the scouts of the patrol to accomplish something in a smaller group than with the entire troop.

Patrol Leader's Council Meetings

Patrol Leader's Council (PLC) meetings are held once a month. Patrol Leader's Council is a monthly gathering of all the youth leadership to plan the upcoming month. The PLC traditionally meats on the first Saturday of each month at 7:30AM, the location can be the Scoutmaster's home, senior patrol leaders or the troop meeting place if available. As this day and time can vary due to troop outings, please contact the troop to verify before coming.

Annual Planning Meeting

The annual planning meeting is held once per year during the summer months. The members of the PLC gather (usually at the SPL's house) and plan the activities and themes for the year ahead.

Court of Honor

Courts of honor are held four times a year. These four courts of honor are held on the first week of March, June, September, and December. Our December Court of Honor is started-off with a pot-luck dinner and gift exchange. The court of honor is a time when families get together to honor scout's achievements. It is at these gatherings that the troop bestows badges of rank and merit. Many other awards are given at this time, such as service year pins, high adventure awards, and honor camper awards. The troop also bestows positions of leadership to the scouts at the December and June courts of honor. After the court of honor, there is always a desert social.

Troop Activities

The troop holds a good number of outside activities each year. Activities include the annual summer camp, camporees, camp-outs, hikes, beech days, and more. You can go to our activity page for pictures and more information.

Adult Meetings

Parent Committee Meetings

The Parent Committee meets on the second Monday of every month. The committee meets in the science room of St. John's Lutheran School in Orange. The committee covers various topics in their meetings. These topics range from troop policy to planning upcoming activities. All parents of registered scouts are welcome to attend. Please contact the Committee Chairperson to confirm the date and location.

District Roundtable Meetings

The District Roundtable is a monthly gathering of all the unit leaders of our area.  The Round Table meetings are always the 2nd Thursday of each month.  They discuss various major scouting activities, scouting policy, training opportunities as well as anything else pertinent to scouting.
